This weeks Business Link event was at the home of Doncaster Rugby Club and wow! what an incredibly impressive set up they have. Lovely stadium, very modern and fair play to the lads who were training at 9.00am in the driving rain!
Not being a rugby man, I wasn’t sure where the ground was but was told it was near Doncaster racecourse (My wife is from Doncaster) so I set off with printed map in hand and Sat Nav on the window.
Got to the racecourse fine, then the Sat Nav decided head off in a direction that sounded wrong from the description Louise gave me. I decided to turn it off, double back and follow my nose. As it turned out, I found it really quickly and the postcode we had been given was wrong – quite few people arrived late.
Had a great event and the venue is excellent. The staff couldn’t help enough and the facilities there are pretty impressive.

I’ll be back over that way at the St Ledger on Saturday. Last year we had a fantastic day with some great weather and a couple of big wins on the track – can we be that lucky 2 years running? I doubt it! More than likely, we’ll be ‘sat nav’d’ by the bookies.
Post Update 22/9/09:
We were lucky enough to bag 5 winners (including Mastery in the St. Ledger) between Lou and I over the 7 races. Thanks to the Racing Post for the great tips. Never go racing without it!!
