'I understand this is a long term project.... and I want to do it right'! - SEO event in Grimsby.

For today’s Business Link Yorkshire event, I am the other side of the humber in Grimsby. The official name is the Europarc Innovation Centre which is in an industrial area of the town (which looks fairly new).

We had around 30 people here today and these tend to work really well. People seem more likely to ask questions in smaller groups and we had a range of questions with most people interested in link building tactics.

During most sessions, we cover link spam and today was no exception. It inevitably crops up and I spent a little time with the flip chart trying to show how you could potentially spot link spam (if you were a search engine).

One of the most pleasing elements of the seminars is that i’m seeing evidence of people self policing the industry and it was good to hear how people are wising up to the spam which has dogged us for a decade now. It is really encouraging to here people say:

‘I understand this is a long term project and I want to do it right’.

Thanks to Business Link for inviting me along and all the delegates for an interesting session.
